About Us
The GROWH Foundation for Youth Development is a non-profit, non-governmental Community-Based Organization that is committed to working with young people on various issues such as education, entrepreneurship, mentoring, vocational empowerment, and leading them on the path to true prosperity. Our aim is to help young people move away from crimes or social vices and create a society that embraces education and vocational training as a means of empowerment and rehabilitation.
We believe that education and vocational training are the keys to ending poverty, bad practices, and social vices and achieving sustainable prosperity. We are dedicated to changing the orientation of young people through education, training, mentoring, campaigning, and providing empowerment opportunities. We also provide scholarships to talented but financially disadvantaged youths to break the chains of limited access to education.
Our focus is not only on traditional academic pursuits but also on vocational training to equip young minds with practical skills for a dynamic future. We bring together diverse experiences, talents, well-meaning individuals, and professionals to engage youths in the various communities we visit.
At the local level, we work to improve the quality of life for the local populace. Our focus is to build wealth and prosperity for people in local communities by giving them the right information and training they need. We provide opportunities for them to be the best version of themselves, compete favourably with their peers from other places, and set them on a path to a brighter future.

What We Do
Mentorship Programs
We provide mentorship programs for the youth population of the communities we visit. Mentorship is a way of creating a lasting impact in each community. We recognize that sustainable change can be established in a community when we support and inspire young people to reach their full potential. We provide a platform that accommodates young people's interests and passions, helping them learn, grow, and flourish
Educational Scholarships
We provide access to quality education for young people in various communities through scholarships. We believe education is essential in achieving sustainable development in communities. Hence, we partner with schools and educational institutions to provide top-notch educational assistance to fill the knowledge gap of the disadvantaged younger populace.
Healthcare Clinics and Wellness Check-ups:
Our healthcare outreach program offers routine wellness check-ups to disadvantaged individuals, particularly the elderly, ensuring they have access to essential healthcare services. Guided by healthcare professionals, we also provide assistance with healthcare products, empowering them to maintain better health and well-being.
About the Founder
The GROWH foundation was founded by Babatunde Shuaib Owokoniran. As an indigene of Lagos with a deep-rooted commitment to my community, he founded the foundation with a mission to empower the youth and enhance the social welfare of both the young and elderly in our vibrant city.
Growing up in Lagos, he witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the youth and elderly population. This fueled his passion to create positive change and build a better home for all Lagosians.
Through the organization and its partners, he provides educational support, skills training, and mentorship programs to empower the youth, helping them realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society. He also works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for the elderly, ensuring they are cared for and valued.
He believes that by investing in the youth and supporting the elderly, we can create a more prosperous and inclusive community.
